National Film Archive of India (NFAI), Pune

Established in February, 1964, one of the leading film archives of the world, traces, acquires and preserves for the use of posterity the heritage of national cinema and a representative collection of world cinema, classifies and documents data related to film and undertakes research on cinema, disseminates film culture in India and promotes Indian cinema abroad, has regional offices at Bangalore, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.
