Nripendra Misra gets another term as Principal Secretary to PM with Cabinet Minister rank

Nripendra Misra, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has been appointed for another term as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister with effect from May 31.
 
Notifications issued by  the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) also said  P K Mishra, also a retired IAS officer, has been appointed for another term as Additional Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister with effect from May 31.
 
Their appointments will be co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or until further orders,whichever is earlier.
 
During the term of their offices, they will be assigned the rank of Cabinet Minister in the Table of Precedence, the notifications added.
 
Misra and Mishra had served in the same positions in the first term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from May 2014 to May 2019. Modi assumed office for a second five-year term on May 30, 2019.
