Moderate earthquake jolts West Siang region of Arunachal Pradesh

An earthquake of moderate intensity, measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale, jolted the West Siang region of Arunachal Pradesh in the early hours of today.
 
A bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the quake, which had its epicentre at latitude 28.6°N and longitude 94.4°E, occurred at 0145 hours at a focal depth of 10 km.
