Minor earthquake recorded in Karbi Anglong region of Assam

An earthquake of slight intensity, measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale, was recorded in  the Karbi Anglong region of Assam in  the early  hours of today.
The  quake, which had its epicentre at latitude 26.5°N and longitude 93.4°E, occurred at 0156 hours today ata focal  depth of 30 km, a bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
Earlier, a tremor of magnitude 4.5 shook the Myanmar-Mizoram border region yesterday evening.
The quake, which had its epicentre at latitude 22.8°N and longitude 94.0°E, occurred at 1913 hours yesterday at a focal depth of 10 km, IMD said.
