Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is now on Twitter

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today made her debut on micro-blogging site Twitter and has already notched up more than 50,000 followers in the first few hours.
"Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is now on Twitter. You may follow her at @priyankagandhi," a tweet by the Congresss said this morning.
As of this afternoon, Ms. Vadra had not posted anything on her Twitter page and was following just seven others: the Congress, her brother and Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Congress Treasurer Ahmed Patel, young leaders such as Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
The announcement has come less than three weeks after the Congress President appointed her as party's general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh East. Scindia was appointed simultaneously as general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh West.
The launch of Ms. Vadra's Twitter handle came as she staged a massive road show in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, along with Rahul Gandhi, Scindia, UP Congress chief Raj Babbar and other party leaders on her first visit to the state after her formal entry into politics.
