Entry free for children and students at National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai

Children and students need not purchase tickets for entry to the National Museum of Indian Cinema in the Films Division Complex here.
 
The museu was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 19 and was thrown open to the public the next day. The museum functions from Tuesday to Sunday (11 AM to 6 PM). It will remain closed on Mondays and public holidays.
 
The ticket price for the museum, effective from February 1, 2019, will be Rs 20 for adults and Rs 500 for foreigners.   
 
A daily film screening will be held from 4 PM - 5  pm, curated by Films Division, on different facets of Indian Films and Film Makers from January 28. 
 
Housed in two buildings, the new museum building and the historic palace Gulshan Mahal, in the Films Division campus, the museum showcases the history of  Indian Cinema. It has several digital elements including kiosks, interactive digital screens and information-based screen interfaces to provide an enriching experience to students, cinema lovers and scholars.
