NGMA to organise auction of mementos received by PM

The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) New Delhi, under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, will organise an auction of gifts presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi from all across India.
The amount raised through the auction will be used for ‘Namami Gange’, the project to clean River Ganga, an official press release said.
The physical auction will be conducted on January 27 and 28 at NGMA, New Delhi from 12 noon onwards.
The e-auction will take place subsequently from January 29-31 for the remaining items, left after the physical auction, on this portal, where the items can also be viewed, the release said.
Around 1900 such exclusive gifts are currently on display in National Gallery of Modern Art, Jaipur House, New Delhi. The gift items include paintings, sculptures, shawls, Pagris, Jackets, traditional musical instruments, and so on, the release added.
