Minor earthquake recorded in Palghar district of Maharashtra

An earthquake of slight intensity, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale, shook Palghar district of Maharashtra this evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The quake, which  had its epicentre at latitude 20.0°N and longitude 72.9°E, occurred at 1839 hours at a focal depth of 12 km, an IMD bulletin said.
