CBSE declares results of 7th UGC-NET

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today declared the results of the 7th UGC-NET conducted by it on July 8 across 91 cities in the country.
The results can be seen here after entering the registration number, roll number and date of birth.
A total of 11,48,235 candidates had registered for the examination, the highest number ever for the examination.
The National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the CBSE on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) determines eligibility for positions of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellows in Indian universities and colleges.
A press release from CBSE said that, out of the 8,59,498 candidates who appeared for both papers, as many as 55,872 candiddates qualified for eligibility for assistant proessor, including those who qualified for JRF.
The release said 3,929 candidates had qualified for JRF and became eligible for assistant professor's position also.
As per the UGC policy, 6% of the candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both papers are declared NET qualified. The certificates to the qualified candidates will be issued by UGC>
