India, US hold third round of Maritime Security Dialogue in Goa

India  and the United Stated discussed developments in the maritime domain in the Indo-Pacific Region and exchanged views on ways to further strengthen bilateral maritime security cooperation at the third round of their Maritime Security Dialogue held on April 30-May 1 in Goa.
The two sides also reviewed the implementation of the decisions taken during the previous Maritime Security Dialogues, a press release from the Ministry of External Affairs said.
The Indian delegation to the dialogue was led jointly by Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Joint Secretary (D&ISA), Mr. Munu Mahawar, Joint Secretary (AMS), Ministry of External Affairs and Ms. Richa Misra, Joint Secretary (Navy), Ministry of Defence.
Mr. David Helvey, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs and Mr. Daniel Rosenblum, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs led the US side. 
The next round of the Dialogue will be held in the US on mutually convenient dates, the release added.
