President Kovind to visit Bihar on Thursday

President Ram Nath Kovind will be on a day's visit to Bihar today -- his first visit to the state since assuming office.
Mr. Kovind was the Governor of Bihar when he was nominated by the ruling BJP-led NDA government as its nominee for the elections to the post of President earlier this year.
An official press release said Mr. Kovind would commence his engagements by paying tributes to Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, at his statue at the Dr Rajendra Prasad Golambar in Patna, the state capital.
Later in the day, he will launch the Bihar Krishi Road Map 2017-2022 at Samrat Ashok Convention Centre, Patna.  He will also pay tributes to late political and social activist Jayprakash Narayan at his statue at the Jayprakash Golambar, Patna, before returning to Delhi, the release added.
