Former Principal Information Officer Rammohan Rao passes away

Mr. I. Rammohan Rao, former Principal Information Officer (PIO) in the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Government of India, passed away here today. 
He was 83.
Mr. Rao also served as Press Adviser to four Prime Ministers -- Rajiv Gandhi, V. P. Singh, Chandrasekhar and P. V. Narasimha Rao.
Minister for Information & Broadcasting M. Venkaiah Naidu was among those who condoled the death of Mr. Rao.
"Shocked to learn about the demise of Sri Ram Mohan Rao Fmr PIO, PIB . A visionary in Govt communication, huge loss for IIS service. RIP," he said on micro-blogging site Twitter.
"I.Rammohan Rao, former PIO #PIB passes away. He was a legend and an inspiration to so many of us. Rest in peace, sir," Mr. Frank Naronha, Principal Director General of the Press Information Bureau, said.
