Minor quake recorded in Kamrup region of Assam

An earthquake of slight intensity, measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale, shook the Kamrup region of Assam tonight, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The quake, which had its epicentre at latitude 25.8°N and longitude 91.2°E, occurred at 2049 horus at a focal depth of 10 km, an IMD bulletin said.
Earlier in the day, a minor quake, measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale, jolted the border region between Arunachal Pradesh and China. It had its epicentre at latitude 28.1°N and longitude 93.4°E and occurred at 1316 hours at a depth of 10 km, the bulletin added.
