Minor quake jolts Kamrup district of Assam

An earthquake of slight intensity, measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, jolted the Kamrup district of Assam tonight, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The quake, which had its epicentre at  latitude 26.1 degrees North and longitude 91.4 degrees East, occured at 2135 hours at a focal depth of 5 km, an IMD bulletin added.
