Chandy writes to Karnataka CM over Madani issue

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has urged his Karnataka counterpart D V Sadananda Gowda to take steps for proper medical treatment of People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Nasser Madani, an accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts case and lodged in a jail there.
Official sources today said the Chief Minister, in his letter yesterday, urged Gowda to speed up the trial of Madani who had been in jail since August 2010.
Earlier, the State PDP leaders submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister, demanding proper medical care to Madani, following which Chandy wrote the letter, the sources added.
