Actor Shiney Ahuja allowed to travel to Dubai to attend premiere

The Bombay High Court has allowed actor Shiney Ahuja, convicted for raping his maid, to attend the premiere of his film "Ghost" in Dubai.
 
The actor was released on bail and his appeal against the conviction is pending in the high court.
 
Judge R C Chavan yesterday directed Oshiwara police to release Ahuja's passport and told the actor to furnish a surety of Rs 25,000 before the sessions court.
 
The actor had sought the court's permission to travel abroad for the premiere of the film in which he plays the lead role. 
 
The film is set for release on December 16.
