Former Kerala SEB chairman Ramabhadran Nair passes away

Former Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Chairman S Ramabhadran Nair, who was the sixth accused in the Idamalayar graft case, died here early today.
He was 81. He is survived by his wife Maya and two sons, Sunil R Nair and Dr Anoop R Nair. His other son, Satish  R Nair had pre-deceased him.
Nair was sentenced to one-year rigorous imprisonment by the Supreme Court in the case along with Mr R Balakrishna Pillai, the former Kerala Minister and father of present State Forest Minister K B Ganeshkumar.

The cremation would be held at Thycaud Crematorium here this afternoon, family sources added.
