The Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate's court today extended the remand of four persons arrested for the murder of two youths, Keenan Santos and Reuben Fernandez, to judicial custody till November 18.

The four - Jitendra Rane (25), Satish Dulhaj (35), Sunil Bodh (20) and Deepak Tival (18) - had been in police custody after their remand was extended till today.

Police claimed to have recovered the second knife used in the murder after the four accused had confessed.

On the night of October 20, Keenan and Reuben and five of their friends came out for a "paan" after having dinner in Amboli Restaraunt in suburban Andheri. They got into an argument with main accused Jeetendra after he allegedly started harassing Keenan's girlfriend. Rana retreated only to return with 20 friends and stabbed Keenan and Reuben.

"Since he (Keenan) was first, they grabbed hold of him and started beating him mercilessly," Keenan's brother said.

Keenan died on the same day while Reuben succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
