Sadhvi Pragya's lawyer alleges she was manhandled in jail by fellow prisoners


The 2008 Malegaon bomb blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has sought police protection inside the Byculla District Jail here after she was allegedly manhandled by some African women prisoners, her lawyer said.

Advocate Ganesh Sovani, while talking to mediapersons, confirmed this and said he would be moving an application before Special Judge, Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act court, tomorrow morning in this connection since her life could be in danger.
Recounting the incident, Mr Sovani said that, on November 1, Bhagwan Jha, the Sadhvi’s brother-in-law, happened to meet her in the jail when she recounted the incident which happened on October 27.
