Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today told the State Assembly that a high-level probe would be conducted into the telephone calls allegedly made by prisoners in the state to terrorist organisations abroad.
Moving an adjournment motion, Raju Abraham alleged that the calls were also found to be made to satellite phones, which led to the suspicion of prisoners being linked with terrorist organisations.
It was beyond the financial capacity of prisoners to make international calls and satellite calls, he added.
In his reply, the Chief Minister said a detailed probe would be conducted in this regard by National Investigation Agency (NIA) or any other Central agencies, including RAW.
