World Cup: CSA to provide new copy of national anthem

Cricket South Africa (CSA) will provide the World Cup organisers a new copy of their national anthem which was cut short due to some technical glitch before the start of Proteas' opening match against the West Indies at the Ferozshah Kotla stadium here yesterday.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) had to apologise to CSA and its players.

"We realised that the anthem was of poor quality and we will make sure that a better quality version is used for all of our matches going forward," South Africa team manager Mohammed Moosajee said in a statement released by CSA.

"The International Cricket Council has apologised to the team on behalf of the host union and have stressed that this will not happen again, going forward," he added.
