Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa to disclose assets in two days

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said he would disclose all his assets as per the advice of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L K Advani in the next two days.

Facing allegations of nepotism and involvement in land scam, the Chief Minister said he would come out with his assets to prove his detractors wrong.

Speaking to reporters at the airport here, he accused the opposition Janata Dal(S) and the Congress of levelling "unfounded" allegations against him and asked leaders of the two parties to produce documents supporting their allegations.

'Let them give it to Lokayukta and I am open for a probe. If their charges are proved I will quit as Chief Minister," he said.

Mr Yeddyurappa accused Governor H R Bhardwaj of undermining and destabilising the BJP government in the State.

"The Governor has come with an agenda from Delhi. He has been asked to work towards replacing the BJP government with one ruled by the Congress. But this will not happen and Congress will stay in the opposition benches for a long time to come," he said.
