SCR to run special train between Visakhapatnam and Kollam

In order to clear the extra rush of passengers, the South Central Railway (SCR) will run a weekly special train from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to Kollam in Kerala and back for four consecutive weeks from January 2.

A press release from the SCR said the 08577 Visakhapatnam-Kollam Express would depart from Visakhapatnam on January 2, 9, 16 and 23 at 0900 hrs and reach Kollam on the next day at 1530 hrs.

The train will stop at Vijayawada, Kottayam and Chenganur stations.

In the opposite direction, the train number 08578 will depart from Kollam on January 3, 10, 17 and 24 at 1915 hrs and will reach Visakhapatnam on the next day at 2345 hrs, the release added.
