K Kannan appointed Judge of Madras High Court

The President has appointed Mr Justice K Kannan, an Additional Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court, to be a Judge of the Madras High Court.

An official press release said the appointment would be with effect from the date he assumed charge of his office.

The President has also appointed Ms Jaya Roy to be an Additional Judge of the Jharkhand High Court for a period of one year with effect from July 30, 2010, the release added.
