Deccan Charters signs pact with Sikorsky for Customer Service Centre
Deccan Charters Ltd today said it had signed an agreement with Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS) to appoint Deccan's Mumbai facility as an authorised Customer Service Centre (CSC) to support the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter platform.
Deccan Charter’s is a general aviation services company offering aircraft maintenance, charter services and management.
SAS is the aftermarket division of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.

Gopinath, Chairman of Deccan Charters Ltd, said.
According to a press release from the company said the Mumbai Customer Service Centre will offer Sikorsky S-76 helicopter operators complete aftermarket support – including Sikorsky trained maintenance personnel for on-site comprehensive maintenance management, inspections and spare-parts procurement.
This CSC in Mumbai will be a key support facility for the future expansion of Sikorsky’s S-76 commercial aircraft fleet in India, it said.

The agreement with Sikorsky - offering comprehensive maintenance services to the Sikorsky 76C range of helicopters - reemphasizes Deccan’s technical leadership in aircraft services in the country, the release said.
Deccan’s engineering services include: Line maintenance; Major inspection and airframe modification; Avionics repair and installation services; Component overhaul and repair; Spare parts services; Interior refurbishing and Pre-purchase technical audits, it added.
