IIM Ranchi to launch PGP in Management from 2010-11

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi has announced that it would launch its two-year two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management from the academic session of 2010-11.

An announcement by the newest IIM said IIM Calcutta would mentor the new institute in its formative years.

It said the Admissions Office of IIM Calcutta would receive and process applications from eligible candidates who would like to apply to IIM Ranchi for the programme. Fees for the programme will be Rs 3 lakh per year.

The announcement said the advertisement seeking applications from eligible candidates would be published in leading dailies and the downloadable application form would be available on the IIM Calcutta website by the end of February 2010.

The seven existing IIMs are located at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kozhikode, Indore and Shillong.

New IIMs at Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu, Ranchi in Jharkhand, Raipur in Chhattisgarh and Rohtak in Haryana were due to start in 2010-11. Two others in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan will be set up the following year.
