UPSC announces results of CDS (I)-2009 Examination
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I)-2009 held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.
The examination is held for admission to the 128th Course of the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehraun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training course--187th F(P) Course.
An official press release said the number of vacancies, as intimated by the Government, is 250 for the IMA, including 32 vacancies reserved for NCC āCā Certificate (Army Wing) holders, 40 for the Naval Academy -- 2 for Hydra and 38 for General Service -- including 6 vacancies reserved for NCC āCā Certificate (Naval Wing) holders, and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad. There are some common candidates in the lists for various courses/wings.
According to the release, the candidature of all the candidates is provisional. Candidates are required to submit the original certificates in support of age, educational qualification, alongwith attested photocopies thereof to the Army/Naval/Air Headquarters, as per their first choice.
The results, in order of merit, are available on the websites of the UPSC and the Press Information Bureau.
