Sportpersons to get $ 25 as out of pocket allowance abroad

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has decided to provide an out of pocket allowance of $ 25 per day per head to players and other members of Indian contingents who are deputed as part of the official contingent at Government cost for participation in major international sports events abroad.

An official press release said the decision had been taken by the Ministry keeping in view a long-standing demand of sportspersons. The Ministry had issued necessary orders in this regard yesterday with directions to all National Sports Federations for implementing them with immediate effect.
