Lt Gen Naresh Kumar is Commandant of the Army (R&R) Hospital


Lt Gen Naresh Kumar has taken over as Commandant of the prestigious Army (Research & Referral) Hospital in Delhi, an official press release said.

A medical specialist of international repute, Gen Naresh has had an illustrious career in Army Medical Corps, it said.

He has served in Oman and was also a part of second Indian Antarctic Winter Team in 1984-86. He has served as Senior Adviser (Medicine) at Medical Hospital, Secunderabad, as Deputy DGAFMS (P&T) in the office of DGAFMS, Deputy Chief of Integrated Staff (Medicine) and has commanded the prestigious Armed Forces Clinic New Delhi and Command Hospital (Northern Command).

He was MG (Medicine) of the Northern Command, before assuming the present appointment. General Naresh has been awarded Ati Vishist Seva Medal and Vishist Seva Medal for his outstanding and meritorious service.

Lt General Naresh Kumar has taken over from Lt General OP Mathew who has retired, the release added.
