Harbhajan hopes nephew's killers will be brought to book

Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh, who is now in England as part of the Indian team for the ICC World Twenty20, today requested the authorities in Australia to ensure that those guilty of killing his nephew in Australia would be brought to book.

"I along with my family am extremely sad to learn about the death of my nephew Upkar Singh. He was a young and dynamic individual who had chosen to go to Australia for studies and was diligently pursuing a successful career and was an asset to the community in Australia," Harbhajan Singh said in a statement.

"I request the authorities to ensure that the guilty are brought to book and my nephew gets the justice he deserves," he added.

The statement was distributed here on his behalf by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
